Enrico Fasoli
Writes quiet science fiction about machines, faith, and free will.
Enrico Fasoli is a software engineer and writer from Italy. Self-taught, he has spent ten years building software for a living and still tinkers with servers and computers for fun. He contributes to free and open source projects when he can.
He has been obsessed for a long time with the same handful of questions: whether anything we do is really chosen, what it means to be alive, and what happens to those questions now that we share the world with machines that talk back. He finds AI fascinating and a little intimidating, in roughly equal measure. Mistaken for the Light, his first novella, came out of that obsession.
Away from the keyboard he plays video games and tabletop role-playing games, designs his own settings, and collaborates with other indie tabletop authors, including the creator of Loner. He wrote and designed Bloodstained Fangs, a solo urban fantasy horror role-playing game published in both English and Italian editions. He lives in Italy with his wife and kids.

Thousands of years in the future, on a dying world at the edge of colonized space, a robot woman named Kit installs the stolen mental scan of a long-dead man into a mechanical body made of salvaged parts. Her fellow Seers herald him as the messiah they have prayed for, while the Mandate sends a ship to recover what they believe is theirs.
